"BoundarieZ of Self Care: Protecting Your Peace" Mental Health Panel Discussion

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – Epsilon Omicron Zeta Chapter, in proud partnership with the Finer Women of the Beta Theta Chapter at ULM, our devoted Zeta Amicae, and with support from our brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, presented a panel discussion entitled “BoundarieZ of Self-Care: How to Protect Your Peace” on May 16, 2025 at New Vision Learning Academy in Monroe, LA.

With the guidance of our insightful Soror and moderator, Dr. Kristal Jones, and a dynamic panel of mental health professionals Mrs.Erika Chrisly-Louis, Mr. Alfred Garrison, Jr., and Mr. Fredrick Louis, the evening was filled with real conversations, healing truths, and powerful reminders such as: “If it produces in you negative emotions, then you need to set boundaries.”
This discussion created a space for community, self-reflection, and empowerment, encouraging the audience to continue to protect their peace—without guilt.

EchoeZ of Silence: Mental Health Awareness Seminar (2024)

In May 2024, the Epsilon Omicron Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated partnered with the Zeta Amicae of Monroe presented a mental health awareness seminar focused on recognizing the signs and symptoms of mental health concerns, normalizing mental health care, and coping strategies for anxiety and depression. The goal of this seminar was to increase mental health awareness and encourage treatment, as well as prevention.
