Eldercare

As part of its commitment to community uplift and elder advocacy, the Epsilon Omicron Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated continues to equip the community with vital information to safeguard seniors and promote safe, supportive environments. Under the Z-HOPE Initiative for Eldercare, the chapter has actively participated in programs such as Adopt an Adult Care Center – Care Agency – Nursing Home, engaging with facilities like the Mary Goss Nursing Home in Monroe, Louisiana. Through volunteerism, activities, and the provision of resources, members foster connection, compassion, and consistent support for elderly residents. The chapter also addresses critical issues like elder abuse by launching awareness campaigns on social media, offering resources for prevention and intervention, and advocating for the rights and dignity of seniors. Additionally, through the Giving Kindness to Build Hope initiative, members work to reduce the isolation many seniors experience by delivering tokens of kindness on holidays, reinforcing the importance of social interaction and emotional support as our elders age.
